Engagement Manager

EM ROLE DESCRIPTION:
The primary role of an Engagement Manager is to own responsibility for focusing the activities of the project team to create top-caliber deliverables, and presenting these analyses and insights to clients. As an upper-level member of the project team, you will assume ownership of day-to-day operation of the project as a whole, providing leadership and guidance to your team members, while also weighing large-scale strategic considerations and presenting these to the client. Below are some examples of day-to-day functions an Engagement Manager should expect to perform:
- Deliver valuable insights and actionable options directly and convincingly to the client
- Play a key role influencing senior-level decisions and guiding their strategic course
- Determine the optimal way to leverage the diverse skills of your team members
- Manage the multiple workflows of your team to maintain focused coordination, as well as motivating and mentoring your analysts and associates.
- Gain expertise in the client’s operations and industry in order to craft a unique strategy
- Take part in the evolution of Kepler Cannon by working with Partners to innovate and expand
EM REQUIREMENTS:
- Strong academic record from a top undergraduate college
- At least 4 years of successful work in consulting (preferably strategic), including solid experience leading teams and interfacing with senior clients
- Expert with quantitative analysis and tools
- Strong interpersonal and “client” skills
- Strong business intuition
- Familiarity with current affairs and the economic climate
- Entrepreneurial, with demonstrated leadership abilities
- Demonstrated ability to sell engagement extensions or new project
